Oregon is way up there, so is Okie St. Do you really think it was great marketing on the part of those 2 schools to have 2 of the richest persons in the world to open their wallets and pout out billions? Yes with a B.

Buffett and Knight probably marketed to the schools rather than the other way around.

You almost have to have either a Phil Knight or a Warren Buffett who can and want to almost individually fund the whole thing or you have to have a bunch of John Paul Jones or Papa Johns.

I am not sure that we have a donor supporter base that includes either of those scenarios.

It seems like we should have the same availability as Clemson and USC but on the other hand, I have heard that even their state government is less democrat and republican and more upcountry (Clemson) vs lowcountry (USCe). We definitely don't have that.
